Attitude of Gratitude {series} Days 10-12

Well, if you have been following along this journey this month, you will notice that I have missed a few days. But I am not beating myself up over it. In fact, I am so proud of myself for actually coming back to type this blog post this morning.

I had one of the best weekends I have had in a while this past weekend. I celebrated veteran’s day with my hubby (he served 20 years in the Air Force as a jet engine mechanic). We shopped for thanksgiving (I think that our number is up to around 18), and we went to dinner with my mom. We drank a bottle of Moet Champagne (which was so delicious) and ate some delicious desserts from Wegmans (raise your hand if you cannot live without Wegmans! If you don’t know what Wegmans is, you haven’t enjoyed life to its fullest potential and you need to rectify this as soon as possible).

I even got a little crafty yesterday. While the Buffalo Bills were being slaughtered on live television, I decided to get into the holiday spirit. I started making throw pillows yesterday, and they turned out so stinkin’ cute!

As far as Operation turn our House into our Home goes, I pulled out my trusty steamer and took to the 1970s inspired wallpaper. Surprisingly, the steamer worked fairly well. I am now looking forward to getting all of the wallpaper down. Because the only thing worse than this wallpaper is having ¾ of your room decorated in this wallpaper.

I didn’t get a detox bubble bath in yesterday, so I will have to do that at some point this week.

Can you even believe that Thanksgiving is next week already? How are you preparing for Turkey Day?

I am beyond grateful for my husband who dedicated his life to serving our Country and the chance to shower him with love and adoration. I am also grateful for the time we had to share with each other preparing for the upcoming holiday season.

I will try and be better this week. I am grateful for the flexibility to make this challenge my own. Love and Light to whoever may be reading this.
